The Inauguration of Barack Obama
January 20, 2009 by admin
The course of history is about to change whether “THEY” like it or not. To all the skeptics and to all of the folks that didn’t stand behind our new President, well the day has come and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
Martin Luther King, Jr. saw it 45 years before anyone else did. He saw the promise land and he looked into the future and he predicted our faith. We all wanted it badly but just didn’t know how to get to it. Barack Obama saw it also and knew exactly what to do. He had the same vision that Martin had and he dedicated his life to make it happen. He carried our American mission on his shoulders and we stood by him to lead us.
The world is about to witness one of the most significant events in the history of United States. Obama will do his best to channel Martin Luther King in his speech and composure. He will not pretend that he got here without his help. His message will be loud and clear and his voice will be heard throughout the entire world.
Barack Obama in a speech Monday called on a nation reeling from economic crisis and war to march together in the spirit of Martin Luther King. Obama said that tomorrow, we will come together as one people on the same mall where Dr King’s dream still echoes.
Obama is not one to polish the truth as other President’s have done in the past trying their best to hide the truth. He’s told us the truth from the start about the economy and the war. Just today once again he reaffirmed the crowd gathered to hear him speak by saying that the crisis that we’re in and the hardships that so many people are going through, we can’t allow any idle hands. “Everybody is going to have to pitch in, and I think the American people are ready to do that. Don’t underestimate the power for people to join together and to accomplish amazing things.
Tomorrow will not only symbolize history for our first African American President, it is also coincidentally a day after we’ve honored a national holiday for Martin Luther King. A dream that most never thought would be possible.
Where will you say you were tomorrow 20 years from now?
