When the witty Cherelle Collins is faced with the reality that her marriage is not all that it’s expected to be, she is faced with other options that are worth exploring. However, a series of events and decisions leads her into the arms of another man.
She is delighted that life may have a light at the end of the tunnel for her with her new love interest included in those plans. Just as she is about to make her highly anticipated escape into freedom, her past comes to haunt her and the new found relationship is put to the test.
Cherelle is understandably dismayed at the shocking revelation that her past brings along. She needs to make a choice between her commitments to herself or her desire to elude her life. Unfortunately the choice won’t be solely up to her. Her fate lies in the hands of her forgiving heart.
Will her willingness to hold onto her marital facade break the binds that have been holding her captive for so many years, or will she choose to come face to face with her true identity and erase the fears of the past to began a new life?

Ericka Courtney is a native of Orlando Florida. She has been a faithful resident of Florida since birth.
She began her career as a writer in 2001, which initially started as a hobby. Writing poetry and inspirational music as well. However, upon urging from close friends and relatives she began writing for an audience. Her first novel The Gentle Rapist
