Premature, delivery is the most frequent cause of infant mortality, accounting for more than one third of all infant deaths during the first year of life. The infant mortality rate among black infants is 2.4 times higher than that of white infants, primarily due to preterm birth. It is the end of 2008 and we are still looking for a cure for AIDS and our African American communities are in despair. HIV/AIDS are in an all time high and it still doesn’t seem to be a topic of conversation among us.
